This is a handmade celestial band with smiling suns, crescent moons, and stars that go around the entire band. Available in either .925 sterling silver or antique bronze.
The Sun, Moon and Star Ring intricately weaves together the symbolism of the sun, representing energy and life; the moon, embodying mystery and intuition; and the stars, signifying guidance and aspirations. This celestial trio symbolizes the cyclical nature of life, the balance of opposites, and the interconnectedness of the universe. Wearing this celestial sun moon ring becomes a personal connection to the cosmic forces, a reminder of the continuous ebb and flow of existence.
The design dates from around the 50's and comes from a shop that closed down in Montreal at the end of the 90's. I obtained this design as well as other masters from a retired jeweller here in town, and made molds to reproduce them for a younger audience.
Details:
- Materials: available in either .925 sterling silver, a mix of 92.5% fine silver and 7.5% copper, and antique bronze, a mix of 90% copper and 10% tin. Both are free of nickel, zinc or cadmium, which are common metal allergens, which can cause rashes and sores. For more info on bronze, read my blog post or consult my FAQ.
- Ring Dimensions: it measures 7mm wide, 2mm high and the band is 3mm thick, and I can make it bigger or smaller as needed.
- Shipping info: Shipping is with tracking and insurance. For international buyers, please be aware of taxes and duties are payable to your country and must be paid by the buyer and is not collected by me.

I bought this ring in 1972 at a now-defunct head-shop in Southeast Michigan called Fire Mill Village. I lost it about 6 years ago and recently began looking for a replacement. It was a relief to find Stephenie Denault's Le Dragon Argenté Etsy store and read how she was entrusted with the designs of the original artist/jeweler in the new century!
This ring is identical to the one I bought 1972, but better. Stephenie's cast is more robust than my original and so more comfortable on my hand. Moreover, when the package was lost in the 2020 Christmas shipping backlog in New York (two-and-a-half weeks), Stephenie followed up with USPS and stayed in communication with me until it finally arrived. Definitely a good omen.
