DETAILS

• Materials: available in either .925 sterling silver, a mix of 92.5% fine silver and 7.5% copper, and antique bronze, a mix of 90% copper and 10% tin. Both are free of nickel, zinc or cadmium, which are common metal allergens, which can cause rashes and sores. For more info on bronze,  read the blog post or consult my FAQ
• Pendant Dimensions: The pendant is 2.5cm long and 1.6cm wide with a textured back.
• Shipping: Shipping is with tracking and full insurance. For international buyers, please be aware of taxes and duties are payable to your country and must be paid by the buyer and is not collected by me.

The Celtic cross has its origins in the early Christian period in Ireland, evolving from the earlier pagan standing stone crosses. Introduced by Celtic missionaries in the 9th and 10th centuries, these crosses uniquely blend Christian symbolism with traditional Celtic knotwork, creating a distinctive and enduring symbol of spiritual significance.

Montreal's got a huge Irish community, and no one was making jewellery in that classic style—so I thought, why not me?  I found this incredible collection of master designs from a local jeweller who was retiring, and the original designs date all the way back to the ‘40s and ‘50s! I gave them a fresh spin by creating a new mold and started making them in sterling silver and bronze.
