Memory Feather Pendant in Sterling Silver

This is a handmade sterling silver feather pendant based on Sakura's memory feather from Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle.

Details:

• Pendant Dimensions: The pendant measures 5.5cm long, 1.3cm wide. The back of the pendant is flat and textured with a loop to pass a chain or cord. The lines are enamelled red with fired enamel.
• Materials: available in .925 sterling silver, a mix of 92.5% fine silver and 7.5% copper. Free of nickel, zinc or cadmium, which are common metal allergens, which can cause rashes and sores. For more info on bronze, read my blog post or consult my FAQ.

This design was created as base for an engagement ring that would wrap around the finger. I promised the couple it would be the only ring I would make like that, but was encouraged to make this into a pendant! I wanted it to be solid and able to wear all the time, so altered the design to do just that!

At the beginning of the series, Sakura grows wings from her back, which dissolve into magical feathers that are in fact pieces of her soul. These contain her memories since she was born, and if not retrieved, she will die without them. Fei Wang causes her feathers to scatter across dimensions, sending Syaoran in a quest to retrieve them. Each Feather has great magical power, however it would seem that each has a unique effect on the surrounding area. For example, one feather has the power to grant a great increase in size and power to Kudans, while another can bring a virtual world into reality, while yet turns drawings into an alternate "world" (different from regular worlds because they don't exist in another dimension).
