Canada Post is experiencing a strike that impacts deliveries across Canada, particularly affecting rural areas and P.O. boxes. This situation has disrupted mail and package deliveries, raising concerns for businesses and customers alike. As I live in Canada, this strike affects the way I can ship packages and in some cases, how some of my Canadian customers may be impacted.
Who Is Affected?
Canadian Residents
- Delays in receiving packages, particularly in rural areas and P.O. box addresses.
International Customers
- I use an alternative postal service to standard ship packages to USA and International destinations, so there is no impact on delivery times or rates to these customers.
Postal Alternatives
If you're affected by the strike, here is an option:
- Private courier service: UPS offers a reliable delivery services for domestic Canadian shipments. Kindly note that it's only rural and P.O. box addresses which require UPS shipping. I use an alternative postal service for all non-rural and non-P.O. box addresses across Canada, with uninterrupted service.
My Shipping Approach
If you reside in a rural location or have a P.O. Box, you will absolutely have to choose to use UPS courier service to have your item(s) delivered to your address. Kindly get in touch with me privately before checking out so that I can calculate the specific UPS shipping rate for you.
For all other Canadian addresses, shipping out is as normal due to using another postal service provider.
I hope this postal strike will resolve quickly!
