Samulet in Antique Bronze
This is a handmade pendant in antique bronze based on the Samulet, or Godfinder pendant worn by Dean in the hit tv show Supernatural. It is double sided and measures 1.5 inches long without the loop. The bronze is 90% copper and 10% tin. And yes, with time it will look dark and tarnished exactly like Dean's pendant!
Samulet is a term coined by fandom for Dean's amulet, given to a teenage Dean by an 8-year-old Sam in season 3 "A Very Supernatural Christmas". When he returns from Hell, Sam is wearing it, and gives it back to Dean. Later Castiel reveals that the amulet is very powerful and will burn hot in God's presence, and that he wishes to use it in his search for God. Dean very reluctantly hands it over, remarking that without it he "feels naked."
Bronze is an alloy that consists of a mixture of approximately 90% copper and 10% tin. Producing bronze is a less toxic process than producing brass as brass is a combination of copper and zinc, and the manufacturing process often produces zinc oxide which is toxic. Because bronze contains copper, it can turn your skin green whether you have an allergy or not. Bronze and copper turn your skin green because when the copper reacts with your sweat and the acids from your skin, it produces copper chloride. Copper chloride is a green substance that then rubs off on your skin. If you are prone to sweating, your bronze jewelry will definitely turn your skin green. This chemical reaction can also be prevented by painting any part of the jewelry that comes in contact with your skin with clear nail polish.
