Hanging Cat Pendant in Sterling Silver with CZ eye
This is my take on a 1920's cat pendant I made in .925 sterling silver with a 1.5mm colored cz in the eye, though the original design was covered in diamonds and was in 18K! It's 3.5cm long and 2cm wide.
I was inspired by a vintage design while doing jewellery history class in school. I wanted to create something a lot simpler, and to be honest, a little comical! I've been asked a hundred times why I had a dead cat on my neck, and I tell them that's just how boneless they get!
Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% by weight of silver and 7.5% by weight of copper. The sterling silver standard has a minimum millesimal fineness of 925.
