The Most Frequently Asked Questions You Have!

frequently asked questions

People are always asking me questions, and I figured I’d answer the most asked ones I get!

How Long Does It Take To Make Something?

How long it takes to make jewellery depends. For production pieces or ones that I already have a mould for, it takes between 1 to 2 weeks to make. Depending on the time of year and for stainless steel and gold, it will take 2 to 3 weeks.

In the case of One of a Kind pieces, to create the original design takes between 5 to 25 hours to create the original design, but it will take on average around 1 to 2 months to create a custom order for a customer.

Where Do I Ship To And How Long Does It Take?

I ship worldwide. With standard post on average, it takes 1 to 2 weeks to deliver within Canada and the USA, and 3 to 6 weeks for the rest of the world. With DHL Express, which is how I ship my largest ticket items, it usually takes 3-7 days to be delivered depending on where it goes.

Do I Sell To The UK Or The EU? And Why Not?

As of July 1st, 2021, all online orders received from the UK and the EU require all online sellers to now collect the VAT at the time of sale. You can read up on it here .

So unfortunately all orders from these areas will have to be made through my Etsy shop until I can figure out how to register this. So, most of my regular items are available there, but my exclusive ones will unfortunately remain on my website.

What Are The Materials I Use?

Most of the jewellery I make is made out of four different materials. I work in old-fashioned .925 sterling silver & in antique bronze which is made of 90% copper & 10% tin. I also work in stainless steel, which is not chrome plated, as well as in 10k, 14K and 18K yellow, rose or white gold.

Do I Have A Retail Shop?

No, I do not have a retail shop! I worked 6 years in a retail store as the assistant manager and technician and I never want to be responsible for owning and operating a store myself! I am a bench jeweller by experience and prefer working at the bench rather than selling. Besides, I enjoy going to conventions and doing in-person shows instead. That's where I get to meet fellow geeks for two or three days and have fun instead of spending 7 days a week waiting for a customer to walk into my store!

What Kind Of Events Do I Sell At?

I primarily sell at Anime conventions and comic book-style conventions. I do the occasional geeky craft fair event organized by local Montreal artists, but my primary focus is geeky conventions.
