If you ask me to picture a gemstone that belongs in a dragon's treasure hoard, sapphire is always near the top of the list. 💙
There's just something about that rich, royal blue that immediately makes me think of enchanted kingdoms, ancient magic, legendary heroes and crowns that have seen centuries of history.
As September's birthstone, sapphire has been treasured for thousands of years, and honestly, it's easy to see why. It isn't just beautiful—it comes wrapped in some of the most fascinating legends of any gemstone.

💙 What Exactly Is a Sapphire?
Most people picture a deep blue gemstone when they hear the word sapphire, but here's a fun fact:
Sapphires actually come in almost every colour of the rainbow!
While royal blue is by far the most famous, sapphires can also be:
- Pink
- Yellow
- Green
- Purple
- Orange
- White
- Peach
- Teal
- Even colour-changing varieties!
The only colour that isn't called sapphire?
Red.
A red corundum gemstone is classified as a ruby instead.
So yes... sapphires and rubies are technically siblings. 💎

If there's one gemstone that has always been associated with royalty, it's sapphire.

Now... I can't promise your sapphire will alert you to dragons, monsters or suspicious NPCs.
