🐉 My Summer Convention Quest Begins!

One of my favourite parts of running Le Dragon Argenté isn't just sitting at my jeweller's bench making dragons, fantasy jewellery, and geeky treasures—it's getting out into the world and meeting all of you.

I love hearing how you discovered my shop, seeing returning customers wearing jewellery they bought years ago, chatting about your latest cosplay, favourite games, books, and tabletop campaigns, and hearing the stories behind why a particular piece spoke to you. Those conversations are honestly one of the highlights of my year, and this summer I'm packing up the dragons and hitting the road again. If you've been wondering where you can find me in person, here's the full lineup!

🌸 Otakuthon – Montréal, Québec | August 7–9, 2026 | Booth #508

If you're an anime fan, manga reader, gamer, cosplayer, or simply love Japanese pop culture, Otakuthon is one of the biggest events of the summer. Every year Montréal fills with incredible cosplay, amazing artists, voice actors, concerts, panels, workshops, gaming, and exhibitors from all over. Even if you've never been before, it's impossible not to get caught up in the excitement. I could honestly spend hours just admiring the creativity people pour into their costumes.

You'll find me at Booth #508 with a huge selection of handcrafted jewellery inspired by fantasy, dragons, mythology, video games, anime-inspired designs, and so much more. Whether you're finishing a cosplay or searching for your next everyday favourite, I'd love to help you find a new treasure.

🔥 Firelight Gathering – St. Isidore, Ontario | August 13–16, 2026

If you've never experienced Firelight Gathering, imagine stepping into a fantasy novel where everyone decided to stay for the weekend. It's a magical blend of medieval festival, fantasy gathering, artisan market, live entertainment, workshops, roleplay, music, and community.

Everywhere you look you'll see knights, elves, fae, Vikings, adventurers, beautiful costumes, handcrafted goods, and people who completely embrace their love of fantasy. It feels like the kind of place where dragons really should exist. I'll be bringing plenty of dragon jewellery, Celtic designs, medieval-inspired pieces, and mythical creatures that feel perfectly at home in this incredible setting. If fantasy is your happy place, you absolutely need to experience Firelight Gathering at least once.

🎮 FAN EXPO Canada – Toronto, Ontario | August 27–30, 2026 | Artist Alley AP05 (South Building)

Fan Expo Canada is one of the largest pop culture conventions in North America, and every year it somehow feels even bigger. Whether you're into comics, anime, gaming, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, movies, cosplay, celebrities, or collectibles, there is literally something around every corner.

One of my favourite places has always been Artist Alley because it's filled with talented artists and makers creating things you simply can't find anywhere else. You'll find me in Artist Alley at Booth AP05 in the South Building, surrounded by handcrafted jewellery inspired by Final Fantasy, dragons, mythology, fantasy worlds, RPGs, and plenty of geeky goodness. If we've only ever chatted online, I'd absolutely love to finally meet you in person.

🎡 Brome Fair – Knowlton, Québec | September 4–7, 2026 | Booths 355–356 (Under the Grandstands)

I love wrapping up my summer with the Brome Fair because it's such a different experience from convention season. The Brome Fair has been a Québec tradition for well over a century and offers something for absolutely everyone.

You'll find midway rides, incredible fair food, livestock competitions, horse shows, agricultural exhibits, live entertainment, local artisans, shopping, and so many family-friendly activities that it's easy to spend the whole day exploring.

I'll be under the grandstands at Booths 355–356, bringing a little fantasy magic to the fair with handcrafted dragons, Celtic jewellery, mythology-inspired designs, fantasy pieces, and gifts for fellow geeks and history lovers alike.

💛 Why I Love Doing Live Events

People sometimes ask if travelling to all these events is exhausting, and honestly... they're not wrong! There are long drives, early mornings, late nights, unpacking, packing, setting up, tearing down, and plenty of coffee involved. But I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Nothing compares to watching someone light up when they find the exact piece they've been searching for, or seeing a returning customer stop by just to say hello. Some of you have been visiting my booth for years now, and getting to watch your collections grow alongside my business is something I'll never take for granted. Those conversations, hugs, laughs, and shared geeky moments are what make every kilometre worthwhile.

As much as I love my online shop, there's something special about seeing jewellery in person. You can feel the weight of each piece, compare metals side by side, see the tiny handcrafted details up close, and try things on before deciding which treasure is coming home with you. Plus, if you have questions about materials, sizing, or the inspiration behind a design, I'm always happy to chat. Half the fun is getting to geek out together!
