Yugi-O Millennium Puzzle in Antique Bronze
This is a handmade pendant in antique bronze based on the millennium puzzle worn by Yugi Muto in the hit anime Yugi-O, which is also the inspiration for the card game. It measures 2cm high plus the bail on the top and 2.75cm wide.
Due to the high cost of materials, chains are not included with any of my pendants. If you are looking for a chain, you have a selection found in my Chains & Engravings section of my shop, or with this link https://www.etsy.com/shop/ledragonargente/?section_id=20961585.
The Millennium Puzzle is one of the Millennium Items. It was originally known as the Millennium Pendant, but after being shattered and requiring assembly it came to be known as the Millennium Puzzle. After Yugi solved it, his body bore host to part of Atem's soul, known as Yami Yugi. Yami Yugi was able to take control of Yugi's body while Yugi had the Puzzle. Yugi often wore the Puzzle around his neck on a brown rope and later a silver chain with links, allowing him to easily get Yami's help, usually to play games, particularly Duel Monsters.
Bronze is an alloy that consists of a mixture of approximately 90% copper and 10% tin. Producing bronze is a less toxic process than producing brass as brass is a combination of copper and zinc, and the manufacturing process often produces zinc oxide which is toxic. Because bronze contains copper, it can turn your skin green whether you have an allergy or not. Bronze and copper turn your skin green because when the copper reacts with your sweat and the acids from your skin, it produces copper chloride. Copper chloride is a green substance that then rubs off on your skin. If you are prone to sweating, your bronze jewelry will definitely turn your skin green. This chemical reaction can also be prevented by painting any part of the jewelry that comes in contact with your skin with clear nail polish or clear acrylic enamel.
